It was the night of my senior prom and I had a beautiful dress to wear. It was princess pink, strapless and had a full skirt. I remember being nervous and wondering whether my date would kiss me at the end of the night. I didn’t really want him to because we were just friends. More than anything I wanted to get to the dance to show off my dress.
I had had my dress specially made in New York City, so I knew that no one else in my small Minnesota town would be wearing anything similar. The dress fit me like a glove and the Swarovski crystal necklace I wore glowed in the dim light. It was like a fairy tale and I was the princess. The night went beautifully and when my date dropped me off he didn’t lean in for the kiss, so I was relieved. For weeks after that, I slept with the necklace under my pillow to remind me of the wonderful night. Swarovski crystal necklaces can make any dress a great dress.
